In our tradition of innovation, development and improvement the Research division of Adams at the well-known percussion factory discovered a revolutionary process to give brass instruments an absolutely surplus value: the instrument modification or treatment.

During the production of brass instruments stress develops from the forcing, bending and soldering. Because of this, during the production process the alloy of the instruments is constantly under stress. The instrument modification aims to take this stress away. One treatment is enough for a lasting result for the lifetime of the instrument.

This technique can be applied to instruments that are made from a metal-alloy, such as several models of saxophones, trumpets, bugles, cornets, baritones, altos, euphoniums, horns, trombones, flutes, metal piccolos, or specific parts such as the S-curve in a bassoon, saxophone necks, brass mouthpieces, mouthpiece tubes, the bells and bends of a clarinet, etc.

The advantages are:

  1. The playing comfort has increased because of easier blowing;
  2. The starting note is more direct, clearer and sounds more certain;
  3. The complete tone, especially in the upper registers, becomes richer, fuller and sounds more 'open'.
